About Us
At Stowupland, our shared mission is to champion an inclusive, collaborative and respectful community. We understand that trust, ambition and aspiration lead to Outstanding Progress for All.
As a school, our fundamental priority is to create a safe, secure and stimulating learning environment where all students can make outstanding progress. Our rules are simple and based on the values of Rights Responsibilities Respect. We believe that all children can accomplish high standards of achievement, conduct and performance regardless of their background or personal circumstances.
The school is at a really exciting time in its development, and is set to expand further. Our new sixth form block opened in January 2021 and provides our students, staff and members of the local community with excellent facilities. We also have a specialised Cognitive and Learning Centre based within our school, run in partnership with SENDAT which opened in November 2021.
As part of the John Milton Academy Trust, we have first-hand experience of the primary setting and fully appreciate the importance of successful transition. The work that our Transition team puts in place allows our new students to start their journey with us with confidence and the knowledge that they will be supported.
We have a dedicated and professional team of staff driving forward developments in learning, teaching and personal development. A key area we are currently focusing on is enhancing our extra enrichment programme following several years of Covid disruption. Extending students' learning to outside of the classroom is a real opportunity for them to apply and contextualise their learning in a different environment.
The experiences we provide at Stowupland prepare all students for highly successful and fulfilling lives in an increasingly complex world. I thoroughly enjoy leading the school and hope that you will share my enthusiasm for our work and will want to become part of the educational community at Stowupland.
Welcome to Stowupland High School.
