Local Governing Body

Stowupland High School became a founding school of the John Milton Academy Trust with effect from September 2016.  The Trust has determined that it will operate with a number of Committees including a Local Governing Body for each founding school.

What do the School Governors do?

School governors provide strategic leadership and accountability in schoolsGovernors appoint the head teacher and deputy headteacher. In some schools the site is owned by the governing board. Each individual governor is a member of a governing board, which is established in law as a corporate body.
