Headteacher’s Welcome

At Stowupland, we are proud of our students and their achievements. We are proud of the role our school plays at the heart of the local community. And we are privileged to work and learn together in a delightful rural setting.

Our fundamental priority is to create a safe, secure and stimulating learning environment for all. Our rules are simple and based on the values of Rights Responsibilities Respect, underpinned by the school’s motto of ‘Outstanding progress for all’. We believe that all children can achieve high standards of conduct and performance regardless of their background or personal circumstances.

The school is at a really exciting time in its development, and is set to expand further. Our new sixth form block is scheduled to open in September 2020. This will provide our students, staff and members of the local community with unrivalled first-class facilities. Of course, we are not perfect. We have areas to improve, and our dedicated and professional staff are focused on making the necessary changes at a rapid rate.

As part of the John Milton Academy Trust, we work closely with our partner academies in Bacton, Mendlesham and Cedars Park. We also enjoy strong relationships with other local schools. This helps us to work together to promote success for the young people who live locally.

I hope the website provides you with some useful information. Whether you already have children at our school or whether you are a prospective parent, we are always happy to hear from you.

We look forward to meeting you

Peter Whear
Headteacher
