Friday 18 September: Due to Storm Eunice SCHOOL WILL BE CLOSED TODAY

Head of School’s Welcome

At Stowupland, we are proud of our students and their achievements and we are delighted to be able to invite you to a number of Open Events which will showcase our work.

As a school, our fundamental priority is to create a safe, secure and stimulating learning environment where all students can make outstanding progress.  Our rules are simple and based on the values of Rights Responsibilities Respect. We believe that all children can achieve high standards of achievement and conduct and performance regardless of their background or personal circumstances.

The school is at a really exciting time in its development, and is set to expand further. Our new sixth form block opened in January 2021 and provides our students, staff and members of the local community with excellent facilities. We also have a dedicated and professional team of staff driving forward developments in learning, teaching and personal development.

As part of the John Milton Academy Trust, we have first-hand experience of the primary setting and fully appreciate the importance of successful transition.  We hope that our Open Events will enable you to meet some of the staff who are directly involved, including Mrs Gayle cook, our Year 7 Progress Leader.

This year, we are able to offer both onsite and online events (booking is essential) and there is also a virtual tour on our website, alongside our prospectus for 2022.

With the easing of restrictions, I am keen to meet with parents and carers in small groups to gain parent views on current topics and share some of our future plans.  Weekly coffee mornings will commence on Tuesday 8 February, 10.00— 11.00am.  Places can be booked via Eventbrite using the following link:

We are excited to see so many of our plans coming to fruition and look forward to welcoming you to our school.

Mr David Brewster
Head of School
